Subjects: | My reflections on 24 years as a prison chaplain. I can include what a 'typical' day involves, specific duties as a Christian chaplain, working as part of a multi-faith team, prisoner stories (without naming names), humorous stories, dealing with bereavement, Penal Reform, the Criminal Justice system and what still motivates and enthuses me. (I have worked in a Category A High Security Prison, a Cat B Prison which then became a Cat C Training Prison and a YOI. I currently serve as a Volunteer Chaplain in HMP/YOI Deerbolt (a Cat C Traing Prison) and HMP Kirklevington Grange (a Cat D Open Prison, with Daylight Christian Prison Trust. Q & A sessions often form part of my presentation). |
