| Subjects: | I am the local fundraiser for Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, and I wanted to let you know that we have volunteer speakers in South Yorkshire who would love the opportunity to come and talk to your group. Our talks offer an inspiring insight into how the charity transforms lives by rebuilding connection, companionship, and confidence for people with hearing loss. We also highlight the practical and emotional support services we provide which mean everyone can live well with hearing loss. We do not charge for our talks, however, as Hearing Dogs is funded entirely by voluntary donations, we kindly ask groups to consider making a contribution, typically £50 or more, although any amount you feel comfortable with is greatly appreciated. As our speakers are volunteers who give their time freely, we also ask that travel expenses be covered (currently 45p per mile). We always aim to provide a speaker who is based as close to your venue as possible, helping to keep costs low. Your allocated speaker will confirm if travel expenses apply and advise on the amount. |
